CUSTOM WIG ORDER INFORMATION & TERMS

Everything you need to know before ordering your custom wig.

Please read the information below carefully before placing your order. All custom wig customers are asked to confirm that they have read and agree to these terms before an order is placed.

WHAT'S INCLUDED WITH MY WIG?

Your custom wig order includes:

• Your custom styled wig
• Mannequin head
• Hair net
• Pins to help secure the style during transport and storage

Shipping is not included in the price of your wig and is charged separately. Your shipping cost will be calculated using the delivery address provided with your enquiry.

YOUR CUSTOM WIG

Every custom wig is individually cut, set and styled by hand according to the design discussed when placing your order. Unless agreed otherwise before ordering, custom wigs are created using synthetic lace-front wigs. I'll work with you to establish the overall style, shape, colour and finish you're looking for before your order is confirmed. As every wig is individually styled by hand, no two finished pieces will ever be completely identical.

REFERENCE IMAGES & YOUR DESIGN

You're welcome to send reference images when we discuss your wig by email. Reference images are used to communicate the overall style, shape, colour and creative direction you're looking for. They are used as inspiration and guidance and are not a specification for an exact replica. Wig styling is a creative, handmade process. The construction of the wig, synthetic fibre, density, length, colour availability and other characteristics of the wig can all affect the finished result. For this reason, it isn't possible to guarantee an exact reproduction of another wig, hairstyle or reference photograph. I'll use my professional judgement and styling techniques to create my interpretation of the agreed design as closely as reasonably possible.

WIG COLOUR

I'll always aim to match your requested colour as closely as possible. Colours can vary between wig manufacturers and suppliers, and the exact shade shown in a photograph may not always be available. Photographs and screens can also display colours differently, so slight variations in colour should be expected. If the colour you've requested isn't available and a significantly different alternative would be required, I'll discuss this with you before proceeding.

TURNAROUND TIME

My current average turnaround time for custom wig orders is 8-12 weeks. This is an estimated timeframe rather than a guaranteed completion date and can vary during particularly busy periods. If you need your wig for a specific event or date, please tell me before placing your order so I can confirm whether your required timeframe is possible. Patience with custom orders is very gratefully received, as with all custom to order items things may take longer than expected and I am just a one man team. Equally if it’s a quieter time, orders may be completed faster.

APPROVING YOUR FINISHED WIG

Once your wig is complete, I'll send you photographs and/or video of the finished piece before it is shipped. This gives you the opportunity to view the finished styling and raise any reasonable concerns or discuss adjustments to the agreed design before dispatch. Once you're happy with your finished wig, you'll be asked to confirm that you approve it for shipping.

Please make sure you're happy with the finished design at this stage and raise any styling concerns before approving your wig for dispatch.

SHIPPING

I ship custom wigs worldwide. Shipping is always charged separately from the price of your wig. The shipping cost is calculated using the delivery address supplied with your enquiry and will be shown separately when I provide your quote. Your finished wig will be carefully packaged and sent using a tracked courier service. Delivery times vary depending on your location, courier conditions and customs processing. Tracking information will be provided once your wig has been dispatched.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS, CUSTOMS & IMPORT FEES

Orders being shipped outside the UK may be subject to customs duties, import taxes or other local charges when entering the destination country. These charges are not included in either the price of your wig or the shipping charge and, where applicable, are the responsibility of the customer. Unfortunately, I'm unable to predict whether charges will apply or how much they will be, as these are determined by the authorities in the destination country. Customers are responsible for checking any potential import charges that may apply in their country before ordering.

CANCELLATIONS & RETURNS

Each custom wig is individually created and styled to the customer's specifications and is therefore a personalised, made-to-order product.

For this reason, custom wig orders cannot be returned or refunded simply because you change your mind.

Reference images are used as creative guidance and do not constitute an agreement to produce an exact replica. Variations that are inherent to the handmade styling process, or differences between the finished wig and a reference image that fall within the agreed overall design, are not in themselves grounds for a return or refund.

You will be given the opportunity to view and approve photographs and/or video of your finished wig before it is dispatched, and any styling concerns should be raised at this stage.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HOW LONG WILL THE STYLE LAST?

Synthetic hair holds its curl and shape extremely well, but the finished style can gradually loosen or change through wear, handling and storage.

Some styles are naturally more durable than others depending on their construction.

If you're ordering a wig for a particular purpose or expect to wear it frequently, I'm happy to advise you on the suitability and maintenance of your chosen style before ordering.

WHAT SIZE ARE THE WIGS?

Unless otherwise discussed, my wigs generally have an average cap circumference of approximately 22.75 inches / 58 cm and include adjustable straps to help customise the fit.

If you're unsure whether the standard cap size will be suitable for you, please discuss this with me before placing your order.

HOW SHOULD I STORE MY WIG?

For best results, keep your wig on the mannequin head provided when it isn't being worn.

This helps protect the styling and maintain its shape.

Keep your wig somewhere dry and away from excessive heat, steam or anything that could disturb the finished style.

CAN I RESTYLE MY WIG?

Synthetic wigs can be restyled, but doing so may alter or remove the original styling.

If you want your wig changed or refreshed in the future, I also offer a wig restyling and revamp service.
