Vintage & Bridal Hair Masterclass - IN PERSON COURSE - Sunday 19th July 2026, Central London

Spend the day learning the techniques behind some of the most timeless and requested vintage and bridal hair looks. This full-day, hands-on masterclass is designed for hairdressers who want to build confidence in vintage styling, bridal work and polished finishing techniques that clients are always asking for. Held in a central London, this course will focus on creating structured, long-lasting styles inspired by Old Hollywood glamour, classic bridal elegance and vintage hairdressing techniques. Whether you work in salons, bridal hair, session styling or events, this class will give you techniques you can take straight back to your clients.

What You'll Learn

Throughout the day, you'll learn how to create a range of iconic styles, with a focus on preparation, structure, balance and long-lasting finish.

  • 1940s-inspired detailed vintage updo

  • The Pageboy

  • 1940s Victory Rolls and classic brush out waves

The class will also cover:

  • Sectioning patterns

  • Curling iron and setting techniques

  • Product choice and preparation

  • Pinning methods for longevity

  • How to create polished, photo-ready finishes

  • How to adapt vintage techniques for modern bridal clients

No previous vintage hair experience is needed.

Course Format

This is a full-day, hands-on course.

You will watch demonstrations throughout the day before recreating the looks yourself with guidance and support.

The class is designed to be practical, detailed and easy to follow, with plenty of time for questions throughout.

Students will leave with:

  • New techniques and styling confidence

  • Knowledge of how to recreate the looks on clients

  • Tips on product choices and prep

  • Better understanding of vintage and bridal structure

Kit List

  • Real hair training head / doll head with long hair - I recommend using the best quality you can find for the best learning expeiencce for example Pivot Point’s Diana head

  • Adjustable tripod or training head stand

  • Tail comb

  • Dressing brush - for example Head Jog 101

  • Kirby grips and hair pins

  • Duckbill clips

  • Curling tong / curling iron - approx 19mm/half inch

  • Straighteners

  • Heat protection spray (if wanted but not 100% necessary)

  • Strong hold hairspray

  • Backcombing brush - boar bristle texture

  • Hair elastics

  • A smoothinbg balm/pomade (for exaple Black and White Hair Pomade)
